Location: Cambridge, MA

Join Lisa D’Annolfo Levey (CU ’86) and Bryan Levey of GenderWorks for a provocative, lively, and engaging conversation about gender equality in today’s workplace and world.

More About the Event:
In a recent Pew study more than 70% of Americans strongly supported increasing gender equality, with nearly 90% of younger and highly-educated individuals reporting strong support. For so many, gender equality is a foundational value.

We desire fairness and equity in our workplaces and a world unconstrained by gender. We want fulfilling careers and partners that are our equal. For those caring for – or anticipating – parenthood, we seek to be engaged parents and to share in the care of raising children. Yet we find that, workplaces designed for an earlier time, social structures that remain unchanged and our own internal narratives, all combine to make creating our egalitarian vision far more difficult than anticipated.

Lisa and Bryan will share their experience of prioritizing gender equality in their work and as parents raising their sons. Learn about the obstacles to equality, strategies for navigating the challenges, and the many unexpected benefits for workplaces, couples, and children.

Lisa D’Annolfo Levey ’86 is a gender expert, consultant, coach and author. She is the founder of GenderWorks, a consulting and coaching company helping organizations to enhance gender balance by proactively engaging men. Her book The Libra Solution: Shedding Excess and Redefining Success At Work and At Home supports couples in developing a joint work-life vision and in navigating obstacles to equality.
