Event Details

DATE: July 16, 2023.
TIME: 9:00AM – 11:00 AM
LOCATION: TBD

Cornell is hosting a summer version of Cornell Cares this year, and the Cornell Club of Pittsburgh is partnering with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy on Sunday, July 16, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.!

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is a nonprofit organization that has worked closely with the City of Pittsburgh since 1998 under an official public-private partnership agreement to restore and improve the city’s park system to its full potential.
The Conservancy has a team of 40 dedicated employees that work with thousands of volunteers and host hundreds of events annually, and our Club is excited to participate.

The location of our event will be determined within the next week, but it will either be at Allegheny Commons or Spring Hill Park, both located in Pittsburgh’s North Side area.

The project we do will depend on the weather during the days leading up to the event, but potential activities include litter picking, mulching, and/or weeding. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes, given that it is likely we will get dirty.
