Join the Cornell Club of Northern New Jersey for a book reading and discussion with one of our own Northern New Jersey Cornellians! Henry Neff, Class of ’95, will join us to discuss his recently released, award-winning adult novel, The Witchstone, called “an incandescently funny glimpse of hell on Earth” by Publishers Weekly. Heavy appetizers will be served.
The book has been favorably reviewed in Publishers Weekly, the Library Journal, and Foreword Reviews. The Witchstone is available in hardcover, paperback, e-book, and audiobook and can be purchased wherever books are sold, including Amazon, B&N, or bookshop.org (which supports indie booksellers).
Witchstone Summary: With only six days to break her family’s curse, nineteen-year-old Maggie Drakeford has no choice but to trust a conniving demon named Laszlo. Together, they embark on a madcap adventure that takes them from Central Park to the mountains of Liechtenstein and even the time-traveling vault of a sinister crime boss. And as the clock winds down, the unlikely duo will uncover a secret so profound that what began as a farcical quest will threaten the very Lords of Hell.
Henry Neff ’95 is a longtime resident of Montclair who writes and illustrates fantasy novels for children and adults. His work includes the five-book “Tapestry” series, Impyrium, and The Witchstone, recipient of the Alex Award and named a finalist for Best Fantasy Novel of 2024 by the American Library Association.
