Event Details

Dear Cornell alumni,

You are invited to a reception, hosted by MM Inc., on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 4-5 pm at the Amber Hotel on Ngong Lane (off Ngong Road) in Nairobi!!  This networking event is part of a five-day executive education program, ‘Making Markets Matter’ (MMM) for the African agribusiness sector.  MMM will bring together 50 agribusiness entrepreneurs, from across African countries—representing East, West, and Southern Africa—to Nairobi from October 8-13, 2017 to enhance their knowledge about business management and to network with fellow agribusiness owners and managers.  You are also invited to the Product Expo where current and former participants will exhibit and sell their products.  The Expo will take place right before the reception from 3-4 pm at the same place.

About forty of the SMEs represented will attend MMM as part of a broader capacity strengthening program for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization; the rest will represent various other SME agribusinesses.  The reception (and Expo) will allow Cornell alumni to meet one another, along with MMM facilitators (five from Cornell), and current and past MMM participants.  This reception is co-sponsored by MM Inc. and the Emerging Markets Program (EMP) in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell.
