SUMMER HIKE — CRYSTAL COVE
Sunday, July 7th at 8:00 AM

After all the fireworks fun on the 4th of July, let’s get back to nature and enjoy the fact that we are in Orange County!  Fantastic Scenery, Great Exercise, and of course Good Company! Bring your family and friends, RSVP with Harris Hunt, and we’ll see you there!

This trail climbs to head of the Moro Canyon watershed with spectacular views of the coastal hills and the Pacific Ocean.  This trail offers pristine coastal nature and ocean views, on a well marked trail through a coastal sage scrub plant wilderness, which is how the area looked before it was developed, and then up to heights where if the weather cooperates we will be able to see from the San Gabriel Mountains to Catalina island.

Start Time: Arrive at the trailhead by 8:00 AM, depart promptly at 8:15 AM.

End Time: We expect to be back to the trailhead by Noon.   Optional lunch afterwards at the Ruby’s Crystal Cove Shake Shack for some scenic ocean viewing.

Meeting Location:  Crystal Cove State Park – Moro Canyon fee-based day use parking area.

We will meet at the large billboard at the far edge of the parking lot.

Keep in mind that there is limited fee-based parking at the trailhead.  Arrive early.
