Please consider joining fellow Cornellians on Saturday January 14th as part of Cornell Cares, as we give back to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Food insecurity hits hundreds of thousands in Illinois, especially during the winter. This amazing organization provides millions of healthy meals to members in our communities – and we have the opportunity to help them sort and pack boxes to provide groceries to those in need.

We have 25 volunteer shifts reserved from 9am to 12pm, and all 8 years and older are welcome to volunteer – so bring the whole family! Volunteers MUST wear fully-enclosed (toes and heels) shoes in order to participate in any volunteer shift. Volunteers not wearing proper footwear will be sent home. Food Sort & Pack shifts – must be at least 8 years of age, volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older, and One adult for every four youth ages 8-12 with a group; one adult for every ten youth ages 13-15.

Registration closes on Saturday, December 31st 2022. Please be sure to sign up before that date.
