Peter Yarrow ’59 was part of the Peter, Paul and Mary trio. The group produced many gold and platinum albums and won numerous Grammy’s. Peter’s own songwriting created such favorites as “Puff the Magic Dragon,” “Day is Done,” and “Light One Candle.” But his message runs much deeper, conveying humanity, peace, and caring along with championing efforts on multiple fronts including the environment, homelessness, gender equality, hospice care, and education.
The Club’s evening will begin with dinner at Little Pub on Route 1 in Old Saybrook. It will be optional, casual, and pay-as-you go, selecting anything from the menu. From there, our group will move to the Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, in downtown Old Saybrook. The Kate is a beautiful venue commemorating this famous actress, who resided in town for many years. Although Katherine Hepburn grew up in Hartford, she and her family summered in the borough of Fenwick in Old Saybrook, and she chose the town to retire to in 1997 after her very successful acting career.
CCCC was able to reserve a block of 40 seats together in the balcony section. The Kate has given the tickets to CCCC at a discounted rate of $47.10 per seat.
Please register early. This show is almost sold out!
