In his address to alumni at reunion, Interim Cornell President Hunter Rawlings III recommended that everyone read Professor Steven Strogatz’s book, Sync. Based on his recommendation, Sync is the book that will be discussed at the September meeting of the Cornell Book Group in the Milwaukee area. At once elegant and riveting, Sync tells the story of the dawn of a new science and explains how enormous systems can synchronize themselves from the electrons in a superconductor to the pacemaker cells in our hearts.
