Join us for a conversation with Irwin Jacobs, co-founder, former CEO, and Chairman Emeritus of Qualcomm, as he shares his journey from Cornell University to building one of the world’s leading wireless telecommunications companies, Qualcomm. Dr. Jacobs will discuss transforming Qualcomm into an industry giant and the mentors who shaped his career, with questions asked by his grandson Adam Jacobs. He will also reflect on his and his late wife Joan Klein Jacobs’s (Class of ’54) philanthropic philosophy and transformative giving to higher education – including to Cornell and UCSD – as well as to organizations and institutions across San Diego.
