Chinese diaspora have led to creation of many new cuisine. In every country with significant Chinese immigrants population, new type of Chinese influenced cuisine were invented. In the US, general tso’s Chicken is a excellent example of American Chinese dish. In the case with Chinese Koreans, the cuisine was mainly influenced by a peninsula state of shandong cuisine due to its proximity to the country. It invented many unique dishes such as ‘Champong, Tangsooyuk, etc.’.

Lawrence avenue used to be occupied by many Korean immigrants in the 90s. Now only few long standing restaurants remain. Asuh’won or Peking Mandarin is the restaurant that was opened by Chinese Korean immigrants to Chicago and now owned by its second generation of the founder. It’s 40+ years of history shows its excellence in taste. Come and join us in tasting what Korean Chinese cuisine is all about.
