Location: Kansas City, MO

Join the Cornell Club of Mid-America and Cornellians around the world on Cornell Cares Day, Saturday, January 4, 2020 10:00 am to 12:00 noon! (Some Cornell Clubs will be doing community service on Jan. 11, 2020, but we are definitely doing ours on Jan. 4th!) We will be volunteering our time at Happy Bottoms, Kansas City’s only diaper bank, sorting and packaging diapers for distribution throughout the community.

Why Diapers??
1 in 3 American families struggle to provide enough diapers to keep their babies happy, healthy and dry. In the Kansas City area, an estimated 20,000+ children aren’t receiving the diapers they need to be happy and healthy. Despite todays best outreach efforts, diapers still remain an underserved area of need. Together we can help solve this piece of the poverty puzzle!

NEW LOCATION:
From State Line Road and 79th Street: Go east, cross Ward Parkway and cross Wornall Road, continue east down a slight hill. Happy Bottoms will be on your right (south) side. (Kansas City Bier Company will be on your left (north) side.)

This event is open to current students, Cornell alumni, Friends of Cornell, and families. Children must be at least eleven years old to attend. We’ll be on our feet and the warehouse can be chilly – please dress comfortably and bring a sweater, warm coat, etc.
