LOCATION: Marquis Miami Condos, Unit 1802

Join us on Wednesday, December 1, 7-9pm for an evening of art, culture and celebration with Artist Carina Segredo ’19, a recent graduate from Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration. From the Marquis in downtown Miami, discover new works and inspiration with one of Miami’s rising artists.

Carina Segredo is a Cuban/Italian artist native to Miami, Fl. As a self-taught artist, she uses Miami’s captivating social and diverse culture as inspiration for her vibrant work. Her brightly colored pieces range from the iconic celebratory champagne glasses to the unfortunate hangover the next morning. Her work has been displayed in international hotels such as Marriott’s Art Ovation in Sarasota, FL.

Carina Segredo’s inspiration arises from her Hispanic heritage, her sense of joy and celebrations. Born and raised in Miami, her exposure to the sights of Miami nightlife influences her art through bright colors and South Florida’s exotic imagery. With a sense of wit, Carina’s work offers the inevitable glimpse into the vices of Miami’s life. Her work is a blend of Miami’s social and diverse culture with its vibrant energy and overindulgent flaws. She aims for viewers to reflect on where their vices stem from while celebrating their imagery.
