Event Details

Thank you for your interest in supporting NYC Cornellians’ volunteer efforts for the NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 2nd.  We will be organizing support for specific fluid stations where NYRR has many openings so we can ensure that our alumni and community members can spend the day together in their volunteer efforts. Please click through the station links below to sign up for a volunteer shift.

Please note we will be updating the station opportunities as they reach volunteer capacity – so station availability may change over time.

The general volunteer’s role is to help set up the fluid station and distribute water as needed.  Children of volunteers over the age of 13 may also participate. However, please be advised that all NYC Marathon general volunteer opportunities require individuals to stand for the entire shift. You should only register if you can commit to completing the shift in its entirety.

In addition to general volunteers, the NYC Marathon is seeking medical professionals from all fields to support the race.  We are listing these professional volunteer opportunities separately if you want to support runners in that capacity.

Please remember to choose “Cornell University Alumni” from the Group List when you apply for a shift.  This is our only option – so if you are part of the Cornell community (but not an alum), choose it anyway.  This is the only way we receive credit to be awarded entry spots in the 2026 NYC Marathon.
