Join fellow Cornell Alumni to volunteer at the Redwood Empire Food Bank in Santa Rosa and help support our neighbors who have been impacted by the recent devastating fires.

The Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) is the largest hunger-relief organization serving north coastal California, from Sonoma County to the Oregon border. Since 1987, the REFB has been helping our neighbors in need and currently operates 12 innovative programs under three strategic initiatives – Every Child, Every Day; Senior Security; and the Neighborhood Hunger Network.

Here are a few guidelines from Redwood Empire Food Bank:

1. Closed toed shoes are mandatory because you will be working in a warehouse environment.

2. Dressing in layers is recommended because the temperature in the warehouse can be unpredictable.

3. You must be at least 14 years old. Twelve and thirteen year olds are welcome to volunteer if they are accompanied by an adult at all times.
