Cornell NorCal Outdoor events: Joaquin Miller Park Hike in the Oakland Hills

Join us for a hike of the Joaquin Miller Park loop with Cornell University Alumni and friends.  Don’t miss an opportunity to explore Oakland’s urban wildlands!

Join Cornell University alumni and friends for an hike of Joaquin Miller Park loop.

The group will meet at the Joaquin Miller Park Ranger station. The rustic woodland trail will lead you through redwood groves, oak woodlands, lush creeksides and wet meadows. Dogs are allowed – on a leash – throughout the park.  We’ll hike the 3.5 Mile loop (Sinawik Loop Trail) returning to the ranger station.  After the hike, you will be amazing that this beautiful, lush wildland is only minutes aways from the bustling activity of Oakland.

Date:  Saturday, March 31, 2018  at 1:00 PM.  Please arrive 20 minutes early.
