Join fellow Cornell Alumni on Cornell Cares day to volunteer at Project Open Hand in San Francisco.
Project Open Hand is a nonprofit organization that provides meals with love to critically ill neighbors and seniors. Every day, Project Open Hand prepares 2,500 nutritious meals and provides 200 bags of healthy groceries to help sustain clients as they battle serious illnesses, isolation, or health challenges of aging.
As a volunteer, you will help slice and dice fresh produce in the Kitchen and Grocery Center and pack food in the warehouse. Closed-toed shoes are required.
Registration fees cover the cost for volunteer registration. To show your alumni spirit, each volunteer will also get a Cornell Cares Day t-shirt. Register by December 16 to select your t-shirt size (alumni who register after December 16 will receive a men’s L). Click here for t-shirt sizing guide.
