Cornell alumni and friends are welcome to a special evening of networking, dinner and conversation with Senator Michelle Hinchey, of the 41st Senate District. Representing portions of Greene, Columbia, Ulster and Dutchess Counties and Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, Hinchey has been a leader in significant social and economic issues such as climate change, renewable energy, expanding health care and broadband access. First elected in 2020, Senator Hinchey has quickly become a rising star in the State Senate Majority.
Michelle Hinchey is a 2009 graduate of Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Prior to election to the State Senate, Hinchey was an executive in the technology and media fields. She also worked as a grassroots organizer for Environment New York and served on the Board of Directors of the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development.
Senator Hinchey is the daughter of the late Hudson Valley Congressman Maurice Hinchey.
