And while the Big Red had only qualified for the men's contest—and ultimately didn't take the title—it was a fun and festive weekend in and around Newman Arena. In all, seven members of the Ancient Eight (all but Dartmouth) were represented over the weekend: Cornell, Harvard, Penn, and Yale competed on the men's side, while Brown, Columbia, Harvard, and Princeton vied for the women's title. Sadly, the Big Red lost its semifinal game to top-ranked Yale—which itself fell to Penn 88-84 in the men's championship matchup, which went into overtime. Princeton took the women's title, defeating Harvard in the final 63-53. Here's a visual sampling of a memorable weekend, on and off the court!
