It includes chapters on events on the Hill in the ’50s that, Podell says, sparked a revolt that ultimately led to the end of in loco parentis rules about undergrad behavior. Podell’s previous books include The Survival Guide for the Adventurous International Traveler and the New York Times bestseller Around the World in 50 Years, which chronicled his successful effort to visit every country on Earth.
