Both the men's and women's championships were decided on the same weekend, with teams battling it out in Newman Arena

For the first time ever, Cornell hosted both the men's and women's Ivy League basketball championships on the same weekend—bringing a taste of March Madness to the Hill. And while the Big Red had only qualified for the men's contest—and ultimately didn't take the title—it was a fun and festive weekend in and around Newman Arena.

In all, seven members of the Ancient Eight (all but Dartmouth) were represented over the weekend: Cornell, Harvard, Penn, and Yale competed on the men's side, while Brown, Columbia, Harvard, and Princeton vied for the women's title.

Sadly, the Big Red lost its semifinal game to top-ranked Yale—which itself fell to Penn 88-84 in the men's championship matchup, which went into overtime. Princeton took the women's title, defeating Harvard in the final 63-53.

Here's a visual sampling of a memorable weekend, on and off the court!
