Sustainability on campus
Cornell accepts only plastics #1, #2, and #5 in our recycling. It’s important not to contaminate recycling, so when in doubt – throw it out! Here’s a great overview of our recycling policies. Cornell alone throws away over 1 million cups per year. Help us reduce our waste by bringing your own reusable water bottle to events such as Fun in the Sun.
