About the conference

When, Where, and Why? Started in 2007 by alumni leaders in Hong Kong, the Cornell Asia-Pacific Leadership Conference brings together the most involved and committed university volunteers from around the region. Past events took place in Hong Kong ’07, Singapore ’08, Seoul ’10, Beijing ’11, Hong Kong ’12, Shanghai ’13, and Singapore. Conference attendees find the Conference a valuable opportunity to:

  • Rekindle fond memories and celebrate the future of Cornell in good company
  • Share best practices that contribute toward an enjoyable, satisfying, and impactful volunteer experience
  • Reconnect with the rigor and relevance of the Cornell experience through alumni-faculty dialogues on timely subjects of regional impact

Who? This conference is by invitation only and primarily geared toward current and emerging Cornell alumni leaders in the Asia-Pacific. Past attendees include university trustees, presidential councilors, members of the university council, Presidential Council of Cornell Women, volunteer leaders of various Cornell alumni groups (Cornell Clubs, Cornell Hotel Society/CHS, Johnson School Alumni Clubs, Cornell Alumni Admission Ambassador/CAAAN) as well as additional alumni, parents, and friends who have been generous with their time, talent, and treasure in their continued support of the university.
