The good Cornellians can do: Jeffrey Moore ’91
Jeffrey Moore '91 was inspired by a humanitarian trip to Lebanon in 2019. After returning home to Arizona, he began helping refugee families in his own community. Jeffrey has helped coach adults in English, tutor children, and assist with US citizenship preparation classes—working with families from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and more.
"I think my favorite is working with the children and providing any help they need with their school work," he says. "They often come to the US having missed many years of school, and need some extra support."
Jeffrey also helped a family of seven from Syria become US citizens, and has taken part in two additional humanitarian trips around the world.
"I look forward to continuing to take advantage of opportunities to take trips and help people internationally," he says, "while also helping immigrants here in Arizona."
