Jill Tarter ’65 on the search for extraterrestrial life
At Cornell, Jill Tarter ’65 was the only female in her entire class. Jill has spent her career searching for signs of life in the cosmos. She co-founded SETI Institute and was the inspiration for Jodie Foster’s character in the movie Contact, based on the novel by Carl Sagan. In this interview with Krista Tippett, Jill shares that our search has only just begun.
