Share your storyAnne Meinig Smalling ’87, a third-generation Cornellian with deep ties to the university, was elected the 18th chair of the Cornell Board of Trustees during a special meeting on Feb. 4 She will begin a three-year term as chair on July 1, succeeding Kraig H. Kayser, MBA ’84.
Dr. Kathy Earnest-Koons and Phil Koons have established a new scholarship for third- and fourth-year veterinary students at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Charles Watson ’99 established an endowed scholarship in honor of his father—George Albert Watson. His gift supports the university’s Undergraduate Affordability Initiative, a priority for Cornell’s To Do the Greatest Good campaign.
In summer 2024, Lily Blyn ’25 interned with Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE), the PRO-DAIRY program, and the Nutrient Management Spear Program (NMSP).
"The donors of Bowers make so many things possible," says Vipin Gunda ’25. "The opportunity to attend a conference, especially as an undergrad, is sort of a big hurdle, so I think that is something that is unique and also really expands who can get involved at Bowers."
Johan Michalove PhD ’27 developed an interactive map at fireaid.info that has become an online hub for thousands of people in the greater Los Angeles area who need provisions, are looking to donate supplies or want to get involved.
