Young alumni reconnect at Reunion

Big Red spirits were high as the Class of 2018 returned to campus over the weekend, celebrating their first milestone Reunion.

Shelby Holland ’18, 2018 Reunion Chair, was happily anticipating the class dinner. “I am looking forward to seeing all of my friends and classmates all have some fun, reconnect and remember why we love Cornell so much."

Many young alumni were simply glad to visit the sites of fond campus memories.

“I’m really excited to see tons of people who I haven’t seen in a while but also in the same space we used to occupy. I think it’ll be really nostalgic, and just very heartwarming,” said Maddie Roglich ’18, Reunion Registration Chair.

Young alumni-specific events like Salsa Con Sabor, Lawn Games and Chill, and Cocktails in the Cocktail Lounge drew crowds of Cornellians from the Classes of 2013-2023.

Cameron Glass ’13 said he was most excited for Cocktails in the Cocktail Lounge, a first experience for him for his 10th Reunion, and attending Cornelliana Night for the second time.

“I’m excited this weekend both to see some of my alumni friends that I knew I was going to be here with but also to reconnect by happenstance. I saw some people I didn’t expect to see while waiting in line for Cornelliana Night tickets,” Glass said.

“I’m excited to just wander campus again.”
