The good Cornellians can do: Tobe Attah ’17

Earlier this summer, Tobe presented at a national distance learning conference about how to support student success in online learning formats.

Tobe works as a faculty member at the University of Arizona Global Campus, where he teaches courses in construction industry management and entrepreneurial literacy. His favorite course is General Education 101 (GEN 101), an introduction to the college learning environment for new students.

“GEN 101 gives me the chance to welcome new college students and ensure they feel supported, confident, and ready to thrive in today’s digital learning landscape,” Tobe says.

In June 2025, Tobe volunteered to share strategies that have worked well for his students with other distance learning faculty, at a national conference hosted by Pellissippi State Community College.

“I felt proud sharing new ideas and practical strategies to empower online learning students,” he says.
