Alumni research on the cover of Nature
William Alan Bertsche ’00 and Muhammed Sameed ’11 currently work at the ALPHA Experiment at CERN, the world's largest particle physics research center located in Geneva, Switzerland. These alumni and their team recently conducted an experiment with antimatter particles and achieved some breakthrough technological results. Their work involves using a laser to slow down the movement of antimatter in order to test some of the fundamental laws of physics. Their groundbreaking results were featured on the March 31 cover of Nature.
