Robin Wall Kimmerer visits Cornell

Writer and scientist Robin Wall Kimmerer will explore Indigenous perspectives on land conservation at a Cornell talk on November 1.

Cornell welcomes Robin Wall Kimmerer to campus on November 1. Dr. Kimmerer is the author of Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants. As a writer and a scientist, her interests include restoration of ecological communities and of our human relationships to land.

She will host a keynote talk from 12:20-1:10pm EST on Nov 1. The talk, “Land Justice: Engaging Indigenous Knowledge For Land Care,” will explore Indigenous perspectives on land conservation. This discussion invites listeners to consider how engaging Traditional Ecological Knowledge contributes to justice for land and people.
