Georgia startup Hypercell Technologies won the $1-million grand prize in the 2023 Grow-NY business competition, administered by Cornell University’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement. According to the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, only 1.8 percent of licensed architects in the U.S. are Black, and less than .05 percent of these architects are Black women.
