Dr. Z. Yan Wang ’12 featured in New York Times for octopus research
Dr. Z. Yan Wang '12 is one of several scientists featured in a recent New York Times article about the study of octopuses. Wang's work has focused on the decline of mother octopuses, including studying how a mother octopus will care for her eggs without eating, until her death. Wang documented this in a 2018 study.
Wang plans to launch her own lab this fall, according to the article, and hopes to discover how an octopus can survive reproduction.
