Cornell students make a parting gift

Two members of the Class of 2021, JT Baker and Aminah Taariq Sidibe, joined with members of Cornell Black Students United to make a parting gift to the Ithaca community before leaving town. In collaboration with Children’s Reading Connection, the Cornell students launched a campaign to give 1,000 local school children a copy of the book, “The ABCs of Black History.”

“Black Student United’s mission has always been to serve students of the African diaspora and enrich our community with diversity. Considering the greater Ithaca area is our community too, it is vital that we take an opportunity such as this one to interact with and enrich the experience of local youth,” Sidible said.
