Class of 2021’s first milestone Reunion

For the Class of 2021, Cornell's Ithaca campus has a magnetic pull.

"I've actually been back a few times. I just can't stay away!" said Shaminta Hamidian '21.

Shaminta has already returned to campus for a friend's wedding, (and a big post-wedding breakfast at Toni Morrison Dining), and to enjoy the Fourth of July on Cayuga Lake with friends. Her group of friends has been in touch frequently the last five years, but has actually become closer after graduating.

For her fifth Reunion, Shaminta most looked forward to reconnecting with other classmates: "I'm excited to just see people that I haven't seen in years, and see all the wonderful things they've accomplished."

Her friend, Shannon Applequist '21, was most glad to experience summer in Ithaca and enjoy the campus itself.

"When I first toured campus as a prospective student, I thought it was so beautiful, and it made me want to apply here. Being back, I feel like I have that kind of wonder again of the campus and the buildings. I feel like I'm taken back," Shannon said.
