Join us on March 27th at M.M. LaFleur in Center City for an intimate celebration of Women’s History Month center around the powerful theme of “Leveraging Your Network”.

We are honored to welcome Marilyn Laverty, CEO and President of Shore Fire Media, as our guest speaker. Marilyn, a proud member of the Cornell Class of 1976, began her career in public relations as an assistant at Columbia Records in 1977. She briefly worked at RCA before returning to Columbia in 1979, where she spent 11 years and left as VP and head of publicity. In 1990, she founded Shore Fire Media in Brooklyn Heights, which later expanded to offices in Nashville and Los Angeles. Over the years, Marilyn has represented legendary artists such as Carole King, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Norah Jones, Lana Del Rey, and The Dave Matthews Band. She has also worked with Bruce Springsteen since 1980. She is an expert in leveraging your network.

Currently, Marilyn sits on the Advisory Board for the Cornell Entrepreneurs Network where she mentors other Cornellians, especially women, in the pursuit of their ambitions!
