The language of flowers, or floriography, was popular during the Victorian-era as a means of communication in which flowers were used to send coded messages, allowing individuals to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken. Let’s go back in time and not only enjoy the beauty of flowers, but also their meanings, and learn how flowers can help us in our everyday lives.
After a brief lecture, Sue Adams ’74 will demonstrate flower readings. All attendees will receive a reading either at the event or afterwards via email. Her book “What Do Your Flowers Say Today” will be available to buy for $20.00.
Sue Adams is vice-president of Adams Greenhouses, a five acre operation in Poughkeepsie.
