An Exclusive Hudson Valley Gathering

Cornell alumni are invited to the scenic town of Millerton, NY, for a private tea experience. In a rare gesture of hospitality, Harney & Sons is offering a private factory tour, tea tasting, and group lunch for members of the Cornell community.

The Experience: Art, Craft, & Conversation

Guests will enjoy a guided, small-group tour of the Harney & Sons factory and onsite tea tasting featuring a curated selection of signature blends. As you taste, you’ll learn about:

  • Sourcing & Origins: How tea travels from global gardens to the Hudson Valley.
  • Tasting Notes: How to identify unique flavor profiles and aromas.
  • Brewing Mastery: The craftsmanship and care behind the perfect steep.

As a highlight of the program, we will be joined by Mike Harney ’77 for an informal discussion on his Cornell experience, his global sourcing adventures, and the evolution of the family business.

Our program ends with lunch at the Harney & Sons Tea Shop and restaurant. You’ll have a chance to purchase your favorite brews, and grab lunch with fellow Cornellians.
