We are excited to host a tour and sunset farm-to-table dinner at Norbut Farm on Thursday, September 17, from 5:30-7:30pm. The event will begin with a tour of the farm, seeing the market garden, tropical and production greenhouses, beehives, and farm animals. Attendees will have the opportunity to see tropicals such as bananas, guava, pineapple, and coffee growing right here in Western New York! Following the tour, we will enjoy a light casual dinner as the sun sets. It will be seasonal farm-to-table fare, including passed hot and cold items. Vegetarian items will be available. This event is open to the Cornell community as well as any guests who may enjoy the tour and meal.
Norbut Farm is a diversified regenerative farm in Spencerport, New York, working at the intersection of agriculture, renewable energy, and land stewardship. Its approach applies whole-farm sustainability across both agricultural landscapes and energy portfolios, integrating livestock, produce, poultry, pollinators, and community foodscapes with solar development and vegetation management. Through rotational grazing, soil-building practices, biodiversity, and thoughtful land use, we are exploring how productive agriculture and renewable energy can work together to create more resilient landscapes, stronger local food systems, and lasting environmental value.
