As we approach the holidays, many San Diegans will go hungry. Join us to for an opportunity to sort food with Feeding San Diego before the holidays. Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego provides more than 29 million meals every year to children, families, seniors, college students, military families, veterans, people facing homelessness, and other underserved populations. They distribute meals in partnership with more than 300 local charities, schools, faith communities, meal sites, and food pantries throughout the region.

If the participant does not have an email address, please use the following: Volunteerfsd+[personsfullname]@gmail.com Please note: if you are signing up a minor: The email provided for the parent/guardian will receive an email to authorize approval and prompt completion of registration for your child. Until then, your minor will be placed on a waitlist. Continue to fill out all requested information and scroll down to the bottom of the page to click the orange “Sign up” button. A waiver will be generated for the parent or guardian to complete and accept. Once completed, the minor will be removed from the waitlist and registered with the group. Before You Arrive, Don’t Forget! All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. Volunteers must be six and older to volunteer. We require 1 adult volunteer per 5 volunteers aged 6-13 years. We require 1 adult volunteer per 10 volunteers aged 14-16 years. Our distribution center is in Sorrento Valley at: 9477 Waples Street, Suite 100 San Diego, CA 92121

When You Arrive: Please arrive 5 minutes early, the shift begins promptly at 9:00 AM. Bring a food donation! Did you know we accept non-perishable items such as dry or canned goods, at our distribution center? Please let us know if you’d like a list of our most needed items. Document your shift!
