Your Cornell Club is committed to creating further fresh concepts designed to nurture new, fulfilling engagement opportunities beyond past paradigms.  Next on deck:  a mix and mingle with a guest speaker event like no other – we promise.

No, not a professor, not a coach, not a hockey player, not even an alumnus!  This will be a truly unique chance to rekindle our shared Ithaca affinity over some cheer, and learn about the remarkable real life story of one of our own, live in the present tense:  “Life on and off the hill through the lens of a Cornell student entrepreneur.”

Remember multitasking cramming, prioritizing seemingly never ending to do’s at Cornell?  We always seemed to be so heavy on work and light on time.  Well, meet Akhil Demani – a straight A, Junior Information Science CALS major by day and boot-strapping entrepreneur by night. From humble immigrant origins to hustling Ivy League student entrepreneur, Akhil splits his time between Ithaca, NY, where he studies hard and sleeps barely, and Hartford, CT, where he grinds tenaciously.

Come relive out Big Red memories and channel your dormant entrepreneurial dreams vicariously through this remarkable young man. Find out how he manages to conquer Father Time, the genesis of his big idea, and the disruptive innovation that lies therein.  His story will inspire and motivate us all to do more with less.
