Computer Engineering Today: What Lies Beneath the Code?

Electrical and Computer Engineering is vigorously finding ways to improve our lives, smaller chips with more memory, increased reliability, and energy efficiency. As much as we love our smartphones and tablets today, can you only imagine what the future holds? Hear an update from Director Clif Pollock about what he thinks could be possible.

You’ll also hear from Assistant Professor Christopher Batten as he provides an overview of the Computer Systems Laboratory (CSL), a group of nine faculty and their students that study hardware and software techniques for improving the cost, performance, utility, and programmability of future computer systems, including cloud computing systems and robotics. Professor Batten will also discuss the computer engineering curriculum including his senior-level course on computer architecture.
