NYC Cornellians is excited to bring this great New York experience to the Cornell Community.  Below is all of the information you need and the sales ticket link for Cornell’s day at Citi Field. 

Cornell Day @ NY Mets Citi Field Event Details:
Game and Location: NY Mets vs Chicago Cubs at Citi Field (41 Seaver Way, Flushing, NY 11368)
Date: Saturday, May 10, 2025
Time: 7:10 p.m. Game, 4:30 p.m. Pre Game gathering at the NY Met “Block Party”

Every ticket purchaser will enjoy a fantastic package of benefits, including:

• A ~10-15% discount off regular game ticket prices.
• Two large Cornell seating sections, along with other Cornell spots around the ballpark.
• A customized NY Mets-Cornell baseball cap for the first 1,000 tickets purchased.
• On-Field Experience for the first 900 tickets purchased, including: 
  • 500 Warning Track Saluters during the National Anthem (first 500 tickets).
  • Pre-Game On-the-Field Photos (next 400 tickets).
• A chance to Throw Out the First Pitch* (lottery) – two winners: a pitcher and a catcher.
• Entry into 3 NY Mets Ticket Lotteries for a pair of tickets to other games this season.
• A Cornell Pre-Gathering at the New York Mets “Block Party,” starting at 4:30 PM
• “Pictures of the Day” Contest to win an autographed ball and memorabilia
• A Post Event Survey Lottery featuring a Juan Soto autographed bat to one lucky winner.
• An Edwin Diaz Bobblehead giveaway to the first 15,000 fans entering the ballpark.

Additionally, the Cornell Glee Club and Chorus Alumni will have a large contingent performing the National Anthem on the field, and our beloved mascot, Touchdown, will make a special appearance for photo opportunities!

The event is open to the Cornell Community (alumni, parents, faculty, staff) and friends & family. Get your seats quickly as we have a limited number of tickets allocated and more benefits are given to early buyers.  Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Cornell Seating and Ticket Options:
There are two large sections reserved for Cornellians including:

• Centerfield/Big Apple (“C” in chart below) – $70 per seat
• Right Field – Coca Cola Corner (seat only – “B” in chart below) – $60 per seat
• Right Field – Coca Cola Corner (seat+food/beverage package – “B” in chart below) – $140 per person**
  ** – this option includes 3 hours of beer/soft drink service and $18 credit for any food vendor around the ballpark

Note: pricing includes all ticket fees

We encourage single ticket buyers, large parties, and anyone wanting the full Cornell experience to sit in these sections. Wear your Red with a little blue & orange and make our presence known!

We also are offering smaller sections that have different benefits including:

• Upper Deck – Promenade Level – $41 per seat ( “A” in chart below – most affordable)
• Mezzanine – Excelsior Level – $74 per seat (“D” in chart below – covered seating)
• Box Seats – Field Box Level – $127 per seat (“E” in chart below – closer to the National Anthem singing platform)

Ticket Purchasing & Lotteries:

Every purchaser may buy up to six (6) tickets in total for themselves and friends & family. We encourage everyone to buy their tickets as soon as possible for the best perks including a custom baseball cap, an on-field experience, and more lottery chances.

Regarding lotteries:

• Ticket buyers are automatically entered into all pregame lotteries from their purchase date onward. Lotteries begin on April 14th:
  • April 14th Lottery – 2 tickets for the NY Mets vs the Milwaukee Brewers 
    on Thursday, July 3rd at 7:10pm (lottery entry closes end of day 4/13/25)
    (Juan Soto Replica Jersey night – given to the first 15,000 fans entering the ballpark)

  • April 21th Lottery – 2 tickets for the NY Mets vs the Atlanta Braves
    on Thursday, August 14th at 7:10pm (lottery entry closes end of day 4/20/25)
    (Pete Alonso Replica Jersey night – given to the first 15,000 fans entering the ballpark)

  • April 28th Lottery – 2 tickets for the NY Mets vs the Philadelphia Phillies
    on Tuesday, August 26th at 7:10pm (lottery entry closes end of day 4/27/25)
    (SNY Player Pins of Gary, Keith & Ron – given to the first 15,000 fans entering the ballpark)

  • May 5th Lottery – “Throw Out the First Pitch” (2 winners chosen – must be a Cornell alum) you get one extra entry for each earlier lottery you were in.  So buying a ticket in the first week gives you 4x better odds of winning the First Pitch Lottery! (lottery closes end of day 5/4/25)

• The fun doesn’t stop when the game ends – we want to see the joy of the day and learn more about your experience. 
  • May 13th “Pictures of the Day” Announcement – Send in your best pictures from the event to NYCCornellians@cornell.edu by May 11th – we’ll choose three winners: 
    • 1st Place – Kodai Senga Autographed Baseball 
    • 2nd Place Francisco Lindor streetwear bobblehead
    • 3rd Place Mike Piazza mercury sleeveless jersey
  • May 19th Post Event Survey Lottery – Complete our survey by May 18th and be entered into a drawing for a…Juan Soto autographed bat!

Other Information:
If you’d like others to join you, please share the ticket link with non-Cornell alumni/parents after April 14.  This will give all Cornellians a chance to buy their tickets first.

In the small chance of a game postponement, we will attempt to reschedule a Cornell day later in the year. If you are unable to attend the new date, please contact the Mets sales office for alternate game tickets—cap included, but no on-field experience.
