Join Cornell Tech on Friday, August 23, for a Summer Bash with music, food, drinks, and art.

We’ll be partying at LIVE at Culture Lab LIC, a free outdoor concert series that takes place on Fridays-Saturdays in warm months. Build community with others from Cornell Tech and our neighbors in Long Island City.

 

RSVP and arrive between 6:30pm and 8:00pm. We’ll have an area for Cornell Techies to gather and drink/snack tickets for the first 200 registered attendees to arrive. Wear red or a Cornell Tech T-shirt if you have one to show your Big Red pride.

 

The event is free and open to the public, so bring a friend. Live music will begin at 7:00pm. Ferries leave Roosevelt Island for LIC at 6:38 PM and 7:21 PM.

Culture Lab LIC: Easy to find and good for the neighborhood

Located 1 block from the Long Island City Ferry Terminal, only 1 stop from Roosevelt Island. 3 blocks from the Court Square subway stations of the E, M, 7, and G subway lines.

Culture Lab LIC is a 501(c)(3) formed to be the arts and culture umbrella for Western Queens. They present local, national, and international art of all genres, while supporting New York artists and other nonprofits by providing space, resources and a sense of community. 

Operating out of a 12,000 square foot converted warehouse, Culture Lab LIC hosts two fine art galleries, an 80 seat theater, classroom space, an 18,000 square foot outdoor venue, and a robust residency program.
