Cornell Singles and their Single Friends will mingle @ Lum’s Cellar in Maplewood thanks to the following Alums:

Jonathan Lumley-Sapanski is a Hotelie and entrepreneur. After spending more than a decade in wine and spirits sales in New York, he went in search of a space to create a wine and spirits store that stood apart through commitment to Service, Community, Ethics, Equality, Environment, and Family. Lum’s Cellars– named for Jonathan’s grandfather and professor of Engineering at Cornell John Lumley– found its home in Maplewood, NJ in 2022. After extensive renovations, the shop opened in June of 2023. Jonathan lives in Morristown with his wife, Molly McGue, CAS ‘10, and their three children.

HANK ZONA is a wine-themed event planner and speaks and writes about a range of food and drink topics. You can currently find more from him on social media, Food52 and in his “Raise A Glass” column in Jersey’s Best magazine.

Garrett Lang, an entrepreneur who has been happily married for about a decade, will share his advice on how to know if the person you’re dating is a good life partner.

Jan Balakian, Cornell ’91,  Professor of English @ Kean University, writer, swimmer, wants single people to meet.
