The Cornell Club of Northern New Jersey invites you to join us from 6 – 8 PM on Thursday, October 17 for our annual International Spirit of Zinck’s Night at Tashmoo Restaurant and Bar in Morristown. Enjoy the company of Cornellian alumni, parents and friends; we’ll have the exclusive use of Tashmoo for this event and will provide an array of heavy appetizers along with a cash bar.

COST: Advance (online registration) is $42, which includes heavy hor d’ouerves and cash bar with exclusive use of Tashmoo Restaurant and Bar for the duration of our event.

Note: This event is limited in size and registration will close once the maximum (70) is reached. Walk-ins will only be accepted if we do not hit the registration limit in advance. Cost for Walk-ins is $47 upon entry.

Zinck’s Night is Cornell’s world-wide annual social event, held each year on the third Thursday of October. Celebrate the legacy and tradition of Theodore Zinck’s, a saloonkeeper in Ithaca. His pub, the Hotel Brunswick, was a popular gathering place for Cornellians in the 1890s. After his death in 1903, several bars using his name continued to provide a haven for students. When the last “Zinck’s” closed in the mid-60s, celebrating the spirit of Zinck’s became a favorite Thursday night Collegetown tradition of undergraduates. It wasn’t long afterwards that Cornellians continued the tradition in their hometowns. In recent years, Cornell Clubs have celebrated as many as 100 Zinck’s worldwide events on this same night!

Parking is available at the DeHart Street Parking Garage, across the street from Tashmoo, as well as on streets throughout Morristown.

The Homestead, next door to Tashmoo, welcomes attendees afterwards for Thursday Night football.

Last day for a refund request is by midday Monday, October 14, 2024.
