Before Hamilton was on-stage, he was in-state. Visit the Hermitage with us and see why it’s named one of Travel & Leisure’s 16 Places to Go When You Can’t Get Hamilton Tickets.
Join the Cornell Club of Northern NJ in visiting the Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, where Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, and other luminaries of the American Revolution once took respite from the trials of battle. An architecturally significant Gothic Revival mansion in Bergen County, today the Hermitage is a museum tracing American history, with an upcoming exhibition on Theodosia Prevost Burr, whose husband Aaron shared the estate with her post-war.
Our private tour of the property will not only review the history of the property itself, but also provide insight into how the house in New Jersey came to be a refuge for Revolutionary War soldiers, including America’s earliest leaders. Bring the whole family to experience the Hermitage’s rich history and elegant holiday decorations!
