Presentation Overview: The Leader As An Agenda Mover:  When Your Good Ideas Are Not Enough

Good
ideas sometimes never see the light of day. In corporate settings, in
the public sector, and in the world of entrepreneurship, all too often,
ideas never make it through the maze of resistance. It takes pragmatic
leadership to move ideas forward. The problem is that the concept of
leadership is often based on notions of charisma and vision rather than
on the concrete skills of execution. In this talk, based on his recently
published book, The Agenda Mover: When Your Good Idea Is Not Enough,
Professor Bacharach will address the political and managerial skills
necessary to move agendas forward.  He will discuss leadership not as a
style but as a pragmatic, teachable skill.
