Fall is upon us and what better way to enjoy it than with a hike in the woods followed by a great meal.

On this hike you will explore Pine Swamp Mine via the least traveled trail in Harriman State Park – The Bottle Cap and Times Square (the Appalachian version).

Please wear hearty footwear for hiking paths (not pavement) and bring ample water and snacks. The hike will be approximately 2.2 miles in length and is rated moderate in difficulty.

Afterwards we will briefly tour the Thendara Mountain Club, a rustic lodge built in 1920 atop Hansenclever Mountain in the Harriman Section of the Palisades Interstate Park. Then please join us for lunch at The Rhodes Tavern located at 40 Orange Turnpike, Sloatsburg, NY 10974.
