Event Details

Join us for a special evening featuring Cornell alumnus, Olympian, and international running legend Jon Anderson ’71.

A standout on the Hill, Jon earned Hall of Fame honors as a Big Red cross-country and track athlete before going on to achieve global acclaim—capturing victory at the Boston Marathon and representing the United States at the 1972 Olympic Games.

In this intimate fireside chat, Jon will sit down with his longtime friend and CCORSW Board member Mort Bishop ’74 for a compelling conversation about his journey from Cornell to the pinnacle of distance running. Together, they’ll reflect on the moments, challenges, and triumphs that shaped one of the greatest American runners of his era.

As a special highlight, the evening will also feature a video message from Dr. Nicki Moore, the Meakem & Smith Director of Athletics and Physical Education.

Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating excellence, perseverance, and Big Red pride.
