The Cornell Club of Maryland is pleased to announce the fourth installment of our book club, Big Red Bookcase. Each quarter we feature a fiction novel written by Cornell alumni or faculty. We will primarily meet virtually, with the possibility of a hybrid model. 

This quarter, the Big Red Bookcase will discuss “Dashed” by Amanda Quain ’13. In this contemporary update of “Sense and Sensibility,” Margaret Dashwood is setting sail on an adventurous summer cruise—unless love sinks her first. We are once again thrilled to announce that Amanda, our fellow Cornellian, will join us for our meeting! 

CCMD members and friends and family are all welcome to participate in the meeting-even if you don’t have time to finish the novel! You will receive a Zoom link with your registration confirmation.

A note from Amanda about purchasing her novel:  Indie bookstores are always my preference – Maryland has some great options, but if folks want signed copies, my fave store, One More Page Books in Arlington, VA, has stock available.
