Join us for an intimate wine tasting at Simple Theory Wine Co located in the heart of downtown Frederick. Following the tasting, stay on for more food and beverage, as we have access to our lounge area until 2 pm. Or enjoy supporting local businesses in the area as you tackle your holiday shopping list. 

Our tasting will be guided by Melissa Aellen ’13, a third-generation vintner from Mt. Airy, Maryland, and the founder of Simple Theory Wine Co. She earned a B.S. in Viticulture and Enology from Cornell University, gaining hands-on experience across wine regions like Oregon, Napa, and New Zealand, and later completed an Executive MBA. After returning to her family’s winery, Linganore Winecellars, in 2017, she became Director of Operations, helping lead sustainability initiatives and innovation. Melissa brings a fresh perspective to Maryland wine while honoring her family’s legacy. She currently serves as President of the Maryland Wineries Association.

We will sample at least five different wines. There will be a non-alcoholic white and rose to enjoy as an alternative to the wine. We will share charcuterie boards.

Parking:
There is ample parking in downtown Frederick, but we recommend arriving in the area around 10:30 am to secure your parking due to number of folks who will be in town shopping for the holidays. Our tasting will begin promptly at 11:00 am.  Melissa recommends using the Church Street Garage, as it is closest to our venue.

Attendees must be 21+. Seating is very limited, so please do not delay on registration!  Cost: $20 per person.
